Worst climate models, recently forecast collapse to near extinction in 8-20 years. (What was anticipated a century on, when we would all be dead and gone, has been moved up to threaten us.) Both fragility and resilience will manifest. At some point, these Collapse Processes will DISRUPT Y/OUR LIVES.

We all have aspirations beyond our personal need and desires. They could create fleets of linked “spaceships”, on Earth, not in space. Human ingenuity can engineer/construct a minimal survival/thrival system before collapse. With more time and luck, these could be mass produced, although never enough for everybody.

¶ 13 Leave a comment on paragraph 13 0 Research will determine the best locations for the “Space Colonies” We should explore locations on/in the Antarctic Ice Cap and in large bodies of water (oceans and large lakes). Phase change will keep temps constant until the glaciers melt or the oceans evaporate. Furthermore, we can preserve much of the DNA of Gaia, and re-emerge a new, viable Gaia, even if it takes many millions of years. We, who survive will join the temporal holarchy of cosmos, from nanoseconds to eons.

Extensive reports on the potential of “extinction” by 2026 can be found only through searching, and may be blocked by authoritarian forces. This NEWS is not only not found on MSM, but also not found on progressive lists of relevant urls. Censorship? Yesterday (08/21/2018), a progressive curator included two urls: about the Arctic melting fast and the release of methane – but no mention of collapse or extinction.
¶ 17 Leave a comment on paragraph 17 0 Popular activist, longtime warning about climate change, Guy McPherson, is now living in Belize, awaiting the collapse with his wife – but still active . He now talks about Global Dimming, where existing sulfates in the atmosphere cools, and if we stop burning dirty coal global heating will increase – immediately and greatly! Disasters that shut down cooling water to nuclear power plants may result in their exploding. This “wrinkle” I have only become aware of, but it has been known for a decade! He and other activists face these abrupt times with compassion and humor.

However, the focus is on the suffering and death of every human person and what appears to be ignored is that there will be no more humans (and other highly evolved living organisms/species); no more babies, children, cultures, art, music, love, philosophy, science, literature, dialog, etc. Also, the great future humans had the potential to creatively emerge, over centuries and millennia, in a deeper relationship with Gaia, will be lost.
¶ 19 Leave a comment on paragraph 19 0 There have been persons and orgs concerned about collapse and extinction for decades, but estimating them to occur at the end of the century – after they were dead. Now, ALL HUMANS (except those who will die in the next few years) will experience and be participants in the extinction.

¶ 21 Leave a comment on paragraph 21 0 There is considerable agreement that Runaway Global Heating has or is soon to begin – triggered by the removal of the Arctic ice sheet (expected in a few years). The 2026 “extinction” forecast is based on a super-rapid spread of mutual catalyzing disasters. The methane heating feedback releasing more methane, etc., could happen more like a global “violent eruption” (over months to years) than a slower “evolutionary” process (over centuries).
