Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 Most leading, active activists are at their human limits. Human brains remain basically the same as our hunting-gathering ancestors. We are incapable, as individuals, of experiencing the complexity and scope of our larger societal reality. We can work conceptually with systems of no more than 3 independent variables (5-9 re George Miller) at any moment. Our subconscious or deep mind can hold more complex systems, with more independent variables. Technology permits us to move among these more complex systems, but we are currently unable to comprehend systems as large as the whole of humankind, and large subsystems. However we believe we do adequately comprehend. Our mind/brains create models we confuse as adequately representing objective reality.

Our most creative and productive activists are locked into settings and routines that don’t permit them to significantly relate their work with the work of many other activists. Each activist does relate to a few other activists, but the demands of their own work projects doesn’t permit the degree of relationships that might be developed, yet needed.

Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 Today, there may be hundreds to thousands of leading activists, each working in projects involving tens to maybe thousands of individual worker activists. There are leading and working activists in most countries, regions, and cultures, many speaking languages we don’t know. The size and competencies of the global population of activists is not known.

Leave a comment on paragraph 5 0 Indeed each human person is unaware of the scope and complexity of humankind. We are all naïve as to the magnitude, scope, and complexity of the challenges we face. Greta, the 16 year old Swedish girl, has made public what has concerned me for decades, that no one is working to save humankind from extinction. This is a phenomenon that calls for careful analysis. There is much excellent “talk”, and organized distribution of relevant discourse, but none appears sufficient to budge the trends toward oblivion. Humankind, configured as it currently is, is incapable of saving itself from climate catastrophe. Can Humankind can change itself, uplift itself, to higher levels of competencies to save itself from extinction? I say yes, but my rationale requires study and an openness to learn, deeply.

Leave a comment on paragraph 6 0 What if we could live thousands of years and devoted many decades to explore the thousands of conceptual schemes that makeup our larger reality. Would our human brains become capable of holding such large systems of conceptual schemes? I doubt it. Over millennia , humanity might acquire such competencies by guided evolution/emergence.

Leave a comment on paragraph 7 0 A viable and sustainable Humanity can be created only if we model it with humans as we really are and not as we methodologically believe ourselves to be. Individuals can’t create what teams and communities can create. At the core of our mythology is the individualism ideology. Face it, none of the leading climate change activists are even exploring what new is needed doing.

Leave a comment on paragraph 8 0 Is it already too late? We don’t know; but most persons assume they know. Most believe our challenge is discovering how to stop catastrophic climate change: what actions on our environments are needed? Much has been accomplished on this challenge, even without major government or corporate support.

Leave a comment on paragraph 9 0 What is missed, by everyone, is that we have an additional challenge. How can humankind change to be able to perform the required actions on our environments? I have yet to see this vital distinction discussed by anyone. Why? Why are we universally blind to our reality? Is there something we can do about it?

Leave a comment on paragraph 10 0 I may be the worst offender. I may write proliferly about this distinction, but I have no in-depth readers of my online postings. Nor do I take serious efforts to broaden and deepen my readership. I fail to post on many quality platforms where I might attract collaborators (of which I have none).

Leave a comment on paragraph 11 0 I have proposed that a totally nu pattern-of-activity must be seafed to emerge among a few persons committed/organized to developing an emergent strategy for changing/mobilizing/organizing the vast majority of humankind, collectively competent to render powerless contemporary power systems (e.g., Capitalism, Digital Finance, Clandestine Operations, Military Aggression).

Leave a comment on paragraph 12 0 Elsewhere () I have highlighted a very significant distinction, often not noticed or ignored, between power and process. Most processes involving economic activities are basically STEADY-STATE with discrete modifications. Manager manage! Managers have authentic authority (often miss-managed) with highly constrained power. Change, unless to really improve “life”, is resisted by managers and most humans that will be effected.

Leave a comment on paragraph 13 0 However, this steady-state economic machine is forced to be both strong and agile, to survive (let alone thrive and grow) in our turbulent, unpredictable (in critical domains), “collapsing” and rapidly changing (with much change not forecast) era. {diagram this sentence}
