1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 Our future will determine whether SAF will save or kill humankind.

2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 F2F contact between human persons is fragmenting. Many are addicted to their unique semfields (tv, social media, games, etc.), where they believe they experience “objective” reality.

Each person’s semfield consists of all semiotic structures (sems) they have perceived or created in their lives. Each person’s experiences, other than from their immediate sensory environment, is in context with their accumulated semfields. No one can relate to what is not in their semfield. All reality for a person, beyond their sensory immediate, is created from their (limited) semfield. This includes all “knowledge” about governments, economies, politics, others, etc. – everything they can’t “see”.

Trump’s followers have very limited semfields, mostly created by Trump.

A consequence of this is our gross over-estimation of personal human competency, for everyone.

Future humanity will require a common, basic semfield for everyone.

7 Leave a comment on paragraph 7 0 Multitudes of fragmented persons may cluster around a common semfield, but have very little human interaction with each other.

8 Leave a comment on paragraph 8 0 There are many different sources for semfields. Some are manufactured and managed by orgs. Youtube enables lone individuals to publish semfields and gather followings. Platforms like Facebook can host many semfields and followers.

9 Leave a comment on paragraph 9 0 What may appear to be interaction between persons in social media is actually individuals relating to semfields.

10 Leave a comment on paragraph 10 0 This will also apply to the elite and well off, but with different consequences.

11 Leave a comment on paragraph 11 0 Some persons can be active members of teams or communities, while also being addicted to semfields.

12 Leave a comment on paragraph 12 0 Semfields have existed since the printed word, but their dominance is recent.

13 Leave a comment on paragraph 13 0 Most of the very poor and the gangs that prey on them have quite different semfield systems, if any. As mobile cells become universal in some of these populations, semfields will become more relevant.
