Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 In the following I avoid giving examples or branch to digressive detail. To do so would expand this essay/manifesto into a book.  I trust you can provide examples and details yourselves. My intent is not abstraction, but concrete action in face of catastrophe.

Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 We are all more familiar with deviations from the normal human, both positive and negative, than the characteristics of the “normal human”, might we meet he or she.

Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 Yet, we model our social and societal systems on our vague ideas about who we are. We are also quite incomplete in our knowledge about the statistical distributions for the multiple deviations.

Leave a comment on paragraph 5 0 Here, I call for us to revisit THE NORMAL HUMAN, and the distributions of deviations. I will argue that distribution statistics may be inappropriate for humankind; that the extent of our cognitive diversity is so great, that the “normal human” is no more meaningful than the “normal animal”.

Leave a comment on paragraph 6 0 On examination, our assumed “knowledge” of ourselves appears quite weird when compared with our scientific knowledge of multiple features of ourselves.  It appears we have failed to even attempt to construct a holistic model for the “whole” of “a human person” and/or “humankind”.

Leave a comment on paragraph 7 0 That “this” is the case, is itself the result of our “yet to be discovered nature”. There are deep, often intractable, philosophical debates on this dilemma – but none attempt to resolve it.

Leave a comment on paragraph 8 0 This issue is no longer just academic or limited to the beliefs of religions, our survival depends on our “coming to terms” with it. And, it will be resolved “in terms of terms”, with the convoluting twists and turns of our language usage.

Leave a comment on paragraph 9 0 Contrary to “conventional wisdom”, Human  Reality is totally wrapped up with our invented stories and quite separate and distinct from Material Reality, as studied by the physical sciences.

Leave a comment on paragraph 10 0 OUR SITUATION: Humans everywhere, no matter their variations, believe that the wrld they experience closely approximates their relevant objective reality. Everyone acts with intention “consistent” with their wrlds. We are hard wired for this, which was fully adequate for survival/thrival in tribal times.

Leave a comment on paragraph 11 0 This we are not going to change.  However, we have the potentials to acquire cognitive competencies and collective behaviors to compensate for any negative consequences of our tribal/mammalian inheritance/limitations.

Leave a comment on paragraph 12 0 Again, I refrain from going into voluminous detail of how contemporary humankind can be catalyzed to metamorphose/emerge into viable humanity -distributed in many levels of drafts authored over 5 decades. Instead, I offer the following challenge.

Leave a comment on paragraph 13 0 CHALLENGING YOU

Leave a comment on paragraph 14 0 Paradoxically, I challenge  individual persons to abandon their belief in the sufficiency of individual agency. Accept your intrinsic limitations being a human, and your vast potentials as a “cell” of the living organism, “humanity”. You will gain far more than you will lose.

Leave a comment on paragraph 15 0 Practically, how does a person DO the above?

Leave a comment on paragraph 16 0 This is not a call to “return to nature”, but to develop a nu relationship with nature.

Leave a comment on paragraph 17 0 As we accept our intrinsic limitations, we must also become aware of our awesome “wealth”: our collection of competencies and knowledge, growing/developing exponentially as we humans engage our Sci/Tech, now in “digital space”.

Leave a comment on paragraph 18 0 This resource is commensurate with our Chrisis-of-Chrises” challenges. “We” must learn to use this resource.

Leave a comment on paragraph 19 0 Who is this “We”?

Leave a comment on paragraph 20 0 “We” are humankind UPLIFTING to humanity.

Leave a comment on paragraph 21 0 Today, humankind is very diverse and catastrophically dysfunctional, possibly going “mad”. This “we” is a very small sub-population of humankind. This “we” includes you, dear reader.

Leave a comment on paragraph 22 0 Accept you can’t convert anyone to believe differently, so long as they are embedded within their social reinforcing milieu – or cult indoctrination processes.

Leave a comment on paragraph 23 0 I don’t intend to sound like a preacher, spouting vague generalities. But, thoughts are as “useful” as other “tools”, although existing in different “realities”. In our wrlds of language exchange (and working with collective semfields), we must create patterns calling for the utilization of our resources and potentials to resolve our Chrisis-of-Chrises. Believing this is possible, it is our challenge to design our “plan” and then”execute” it (in our reality, design and execution will co-emerge over time). WE BEGIN NOW!

Leave a comment on paragraph 24 0 OK, you accept this challenge, AND recognize that “we” can do it, because “we” will UPLIFT to become the whole of humankind. HOW TO BEGIN?

Leave a comment on paragraph 25 0 OLLO with others who read this call. JUST DO IT !!

Leave a comment on paragraph 26 0 Accepting your intrinsic limitations, work with others to OLLO the launching of UPLIFTING groups.

Leave a comment on paragraph 27 0 One option is to organize to study my writings about these matters.
